SPL 2018 Ladies Brunch will be held April 28th. Our speaker is Dr. Rhoda Wolle, Dean of Academic Success from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
The theme will be Going from Surviving to Thriving, Redefining Happiness. Psychology seeks to understand the components of happiness and wellness.
Dr. Wolle's presentation will compile the latest research regarding what people can do to move from simply surviving to truly thriving. Some of the components that make a significant impact are gratitude, contentment, discovering and utilizing strengths and skills to impact others, and guilt-free rest. Participants will leave the presentation with an action plan they can implement in their personal and professional life.
Dr. Rhoda Wolle is an Educational Psychologist who works with schools, faculties, and parents throughout the United States, Asia, and Africa. She speaks on student success, faculty development, and the psychology of thriving. Her workshops are interactive and participants leave with an action plan that they can implement immediately.
Dr. Wolle serves as the Dean of Student Success and Associate Professor of Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College, in Milwaukee, WI. She is also a mentor for the Higher Learning Commission and works with other Universities to promote student persistence and success. She graduated from Martin Luther College with a Bachelor Degree in Education, received her MA from Marian University in Educating Students at Risk, and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Capella University.
Rhoda is a member at St. Lucas Lutheran Church in Bay View, WI. In her spare time she enjoys music, travel, sports, and walks with her dog.
