Christ's Love, Our Calling
As WELS members, we are all Christians but we come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. We struggle with a variety of doubts and worries, yet we all share one thing in common—the peace that comes from trusting Jesus as our Savior.
The Augsburg Confession
Translated by Bente, F., and W.H.T. Dau
The Augsburg Confession is the first and most fundamental Confession of the Lutheran Church. It was composed for a public reading at the Diet of Augsburg on June 25, 1530. Although written by Melanchthon, it was presented as the official answer of the undersigned German princes to the summons of Emperor Charles V. Two copies were presented on the same day, one in German, the other in Latin. This work translates a unified whole of the German and Latin texts and was prepared for the Concordia Triglotta of 1921.
Koiné formed in September 2003 to lead the music for St. Marcus Lutheran Church's evening worship service. Koiné consisted of five regular members: Benj Lawrenz-guitar, Pete Reese-bass, Bob Buss-drums, Seth Bauer-piano, and Brian Davison-vocals. The band has evolved from there, obtaining a new drummer, Seth Kock, and a female vocalist Tracy Fedke, as well as bassist Matt Scott.
Fox Valley Lutheran High School
Education is more than academics. Students need to grow academically, emotionally, socially, physically and spiritually. We encourage our students to make the most of their God-given talents and abilities. Over 85 percent of our students do pursue studies after high school either on the university or technical college level. Others move on to the military or the business world. Some study for the ministry as pastors, teachers, or other staff ministries.
